Job Description Job Description Grants Manager | San Francisco, CA LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a mission-driven organization to identify a skilled Grants Manager to support the full lifecycle of grant administration and compliance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented grants professional with strong knowledge of grantmaking regulations, reporting requirements, and cross-functional collaboration. The Grants Manager will play a key role in ensuring grants are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with IRS and organizational policies. Key Responsibilities Manage the administration of grants and gifts, ensuring compliance with IRS and internal grantmaking regulations Conduct due diligence for both domestic and international grantees Partner with internal program and finance teams to support smooth grant processing Track and manage grant reporting requirements for leadership and external stakeholders Review grant budgets for adherence to organizational policies Draft award letters, amendments, honoraria documentation, and other grant-related materials Maintain accurate grant records across grants management databases (e.g., Salesforce, Fluxx) Ensure grant files and supporting documentation are complete and well-organized within cloud-based systems Coordinate approvals and timelines with internal staff and external grantee partners Assist in maintaining and improving grantmaking policies, procedures, and staff training resources Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience 7 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in grants and contracts administration Strong understanding of IRS regulations related to grantmaking and expenditure responsibility Experience communicating directly with grantees regarding compliance, reporting, and grant terms Prior experience leading or managing staff is preferred Strong technical skills and comfort working within grants databases and CRM systems Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience supporting international grantmaking is a plus Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour Search managed by: Kenneth Agojo Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
