Make sure to include both the job title and location of the job if you email me directly. *** Permanent, full-time job ( direct hire ) offering W2 annual salary with full benefits ( and relo assistance for non-local candidates ) *** Job location: on site / 2 days from home + 3 days in the office / in Vallejo, CA ( Mare Island ) - you must be a local candidate or willing to relocate to the area Mechanical Design Engineer ( must have a strong hands-on experience with CATIA v5 for at least 2+ years of daily use ) : - Develop a complete technical Scope of Work for rolling stock ( LRV - light rail vehicle ) renovation and overhaul projects based on customer technical specification and train system requirements specification - Perform 3D modeling, design annotations, Bill of Materials and 2D deliverables in compliance with QCD ( quality cost delivery ) commitments, expertise rules and processes - Realize stack-up analysis, review of drawings and specifications - Prepare and document Mechanical Design Reviews for internal and external customers - Design products considering project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.) - Conduct engineering studies and prepare or lead the preparation of specifications for both internal and external presentation - Check supplier's and sub-contractor's Design Quality Qualifications : - MUST have a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering ( can consider Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering ) - MUST have a mechanical design engineering experience ( not looking for any junior candidates / recent college graduates - must have -5+ years of full-time experience as a mechanical design engineer ) - MUST have a strong hands-on experience with CATIA v5 for at least 2+ years of daily use - Ideally experience with PDM / PLM tools like Enovia-DMA, 3DCom, etc. Please send me your details (resume, work authorization status, current location, availability and compensation expectations) directly to: denis.potapenko@systemone.com for an immediate consideration.
