Pay Range: $85,000–$120,000 per year Year-End Bonus Location: Fremont, CA Industry: Commercial Framing / Carpentry Job Overview Roof Structures Inc. is seeking a highly detail-oriented Construction Detailer / Material List Creator to join our project management team in Fremont, CA. This critical role involves creating precise material lists, reviewing construction drawings, managing RFIs and RFSs, and assisting with drafting and plan coordination. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in wood framing, be fluent in reading plans and structural drawings, and have the communication skills to work seamlessly with architects, engineers, general contractors, suppliers, and field foremen. Explore more at www.roofstructures.com Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings and blueprints with a high degree of accuracy Create and manage detailed framing material lists Communicate with steel joist suppliers, general contractors, architects, and jobsite foremen Review and distribute steel joist shop drawings Draft detail sketches as needed Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Substitution (RFSs) Review and apply project addenda Upload and distribute updated drawings to project stakeholders Coordinate delivery of final construction documents to field teams Maintain clear records using project management platforms Qualifications 5 years of experience in construction (wood framing experience preferred) Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans Strong organizational and drafting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment Education Associate degree preferred High school diploma or GED required Software & Tools Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) On-Screen Takeoff or similar tools Adobe Acrobat (PDF markup tools) AutoCAD (basic drafting skills preferred) Procore BuildingConnected Dropbox, Box, and other online drawing management platforms Benefits Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life Insurance Financial Security: 401(k) with Company Match, Weekly Pay Time Off: Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick Leave Workplace Perks: Company Events, Tech Package (tablet or smartphone), Annual Company Trips Professional Development: Paid Certifications, Apprenticeship & Mentorship Programs Schedule Full-Time: Monday–Friday Hours: Day shift, 8-hour workdays Location Onsite: Fremont, CA 94538 Candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate prior to start.
