DescriptionSix Flags Discovery Kingdom is seeking an analytical person lead the strategic financial and operational direction of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Hurricane Harbor Concord. This manager level position is a business partner to the General Manager and executive leadership team. They are responsible for oversight of the Parks' financial reporting and accounting. The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic change agent who is an expert at financial analysis.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of strategies and initiatives to maximize the financial & operational performance of the Northern CA properties.Accurate and timely reporting of balance sheets, profit and loss ledger, capital reports, budgets, and forecasts.Manage full close-cycle accounting for both properties.Lead general accounting processes, including streamlining workflow, reviewing account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of deliverables.Participate in long range planning for continued growth of park operations including capital investments and strategic changes to business model.Partner with operational leaders to plan new initiatives (ticket, revenue, pricing, operating, etc.) and their viability based on current business direction.Manage and direct budgeting process, including regular meetings with each department to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of the forecasts.Build effective relationships throughout the Park & Corporate management team to ensure the effective execution of the Park's business plan and ensure company goals are met.Serve as Park Duty Manager in-park on a rotational shift basis.Maintain and adhere to Six Flags standards and actively enforce all park policies & procedures.All other duties assigned.Skills and QualificationsMinimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in financial management with a strong background in theme park/entertainment financial operations and systems preferred.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Certified Public Accountant or Masters in Business Administration preferred.Experience with Oracle Cloud strongly preferred.Exemplary analytical skills to monitor and analyze market trends and internal performance trends.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication, mathematics, and interpersonal skills.Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including duty manager shifts in-park during operation.Must possess a valid State Driver's License.What's In It For You?Full-Time position with competitive payMedical, Dental, Vision, and other supplemental health plansQuarterly 401K Match on up to 5% of your contributionsFree Passes for your family and friendsFree admission to regional attractions and other regional theme parks
