Assistant Operations Manager Role And ExpectationsAs an
Assistant Operations Manager, you are entrusted with supporting the
Operations Manager in managing daily branch operations. You will
assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and
contribute to achieving organizational goals. Success in this role
requires effective collaboration with teams, overseeing employee
training and development, and proactively addressing operational
challenges to drive continuous improvement.Key
Responsibilities:
- Support Branch OperationsAssist the Operations Manager in
overseeing daily operations across all branches, ensuring efficient
functioning and smooth execution of tasks.
- Safety and Customer Service StandardsEnsure that all teams
adhere to safety protocols and maintain high levels of customer
service, fostering a customer-first mindset.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Monitor performance metrics
and contribute toward meeting and exceeding company KPIs, including
safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Employee Training and DevelopmentAssist in coordinating and
managing employee training programs to ensure that all teams have
the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources for success.
- Team Activity CoordinationCollaborate with different
departments and teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and
effective problem-solving in real-time.
- Continuous ImprovementIdentify areas for improvement within
branch operations and collaborate with the Operations Manager to
implement changes that drive operational efficiency.
- Ethical Standards and ComplianceEnsure that all operational
activities comply with company policies and maintain ethical
standards across the board.
- Resource ManagementEnsure that teams are adequately resourced
and trained to handle operational challenges while keeping
cost-efficiency in mind.
- Problem Solving and AdaptabilityProactively address operational
issues, providing timely solutions, and adapting to the fast-paced,
dynamic environment of the transportation industry.
- Communication and CollaborationMaintain clear and effective
communication with the Operations Manager, teams, and other
departments to ensure alignment in achieving company goals.
- Performance EvaluationCollaborate with the Operations Manager
to evaluate team performance, track progress toward goals, and
provide feedback for growth and improvement.Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous
learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to
unpredictable situations.
- Experience in operations management or a related field is
preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Tech Savvy; Includes proficiency in Excel with knowledge of
pivot tables/graphs.Benefits:

listed above, employees are required to adhere to Tower WAV's
policies and procedures; work in a safe manner; perform duties as
workload necessitates; maintain a positive and cooperative
attitude; communicate regularly with your supervisor about work
issues; demonstrate efficient time management; demonstrate regular
and reliable attendance and punctuality; meet applicable
productivity standards; and complete other duties as assigned by
Tower WAV from time to time.Employees must have reliable
