Job Description:

are 1:2. Candidate must be able to accommodate weekend shifts. The
facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period. Daily
census averages 2-3 patients. The number of rooms in the unit is 5,
with a total of 5 beds. The facility utilizes Epic for charting.
Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services,
interpretation services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy. Special
procedures in this unit require sterile vaginal exams. Travelers
may be expected to float between similar facilities. Travelers are
required to work 2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or
New Year. References from supervisory roles covering one year of
employment are required. Candidates will need to demonstrate
proficiency in specific skills such as the administration of
medications and patient assessments. The staffing and scheduling
type is self-scheduling. The average number of visits per day is
approximately 15. Simplified tasks include assisting with high-risk
deliveries and newborn assessments. Additional skills include the
use of external fetal monitoring and the management of IVs.
Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Required certifications must
be submitted with the application.
