Our bar offers one of the best artisan craft beer selections in all of Sonoma.We are currently hiring an Event Coordinator!As an Events Coordinator, you will be planning and executing events at the El Dorado Kitchen that have been booked by the Event Sales Manager. Proactively reaching out to guests through email and phone to assist them with planning and promptly respond to guests who reach out to you for assistance. Create complete and detailed Banquet Event Orders and post in a timely manner for the Management and Kitchen teams. Confirm all items needed for the event are on property or on order. Day of events you will be confirming menus with the kitchen, leading a line-up meeting with the server team, assisting with the set-up details and being on property to meet and greet guests at arrival. Some events may require the Events Coordinator to stay on property until the conclusion of the event.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:Ability to:Satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding in person and by telephone.Provide legible communicationBasis computer skillsCompute basic mathematical calculationsRemain calm under pressure, making sound and logical decisions quickly.Possess knowledge of food production and service and have the ability to perform all positions in banquet operations in order to supervise, direct, and train all banquet personnel.Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment.Focus attention on detailsWarm, friendly and welcoming personalityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school graduate.Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.Two years' experience as a server, dining room manager, host or event planner.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Food handling certificateTIPS training certificateSome collegePrevious experience as a fine dining serverCertification of previous training in liquor, wine and food servicePrevious culinary trainingKnowledge of Computerized P.O.S. systems, preferably AlohaPrevious guest relations trainingKnowledge of reservation systemEl Dorado Kitchen is part of Mosaic Hotel Group's collection of hotels and restaurants.
