Walmart Inc., the world's largest retailer and a leader in retail technology, is looking for a seasoned Principal Data Scientist to join our burgeoning Data Science & AI team. This role is centered around enhancing and innovating our Conversational AI capabilities to improve customer interactions across our various platforms. The successful candidate will be pivotal in designing and implementing sophisticated machine learning models and AI solutions to create seamless and personalized shopping experiences for millions of customers worldwide. By leveraging massive datasets and state-of-the-art AI techniques, the Principal Data Scientist will lead projects that make measurable impacts on our business and set new standards in retail technology. Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models focused on natural language processing and conversational AI. Lead cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and implement AI solutions that enhance customer interaction and engagement. Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and develop AI-driven products and services. Drive the adoption of best practices in data science and continuous improvement methodologies across the team. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI and machine learning to ensure Walmart remains a leader in retail technology. Expertise in machine learning, data mining, and statistical modeling techniques. Strong experience with Python, R, or similar scripting languages. Proven capability in natural language processing and conversational AI technologies such as Google Dialogflow, IBM Watson, or Microsoft Bot Framework. Ability to translate complex datasets into strategic insights. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
