now! The Role You’ll be working with engineers, designers, product
managers, and business partners across Thunkable. This role reports
to the CTO and works directly with all staff engineers. On your
team, you’ll meet teammates of all experience levels and
backgrounds, passionate about creating the future of no-code
development. You’ll be surrounded by people who find purpose in

cycles. Importantly, you’ll find a higher than “normal” level of
transparency, trust and autonomy. You will be hands-on with
scoping, prioritizing, and leading the development effort of
Thunkable. Here’s a few examples of the problems you’ll be asked to
solve: People: You will work cross-functionally with all team leads
to understand and scope the future of the Thunkable platform. From
there, you will coordinate with all engineers on the team to break
down tasks and create a development schedule. You will oversee the
engineer team’s schedules, workloads, and performance while
communicating needs cross-functionally. This role will also be
responsible for discovering, interviewing, and recruiting great
team members and build them up into the next all star player. Drive
accountability : You will work with stakeholders to better
understand the needs of the business, and with your team to create
realistic expectations for project success. Expand collaboration :
This role is all about bringing teams and engineers across
Thunkable together. It will be your responsibility to clearly
communicate expectations, timelines, and feasibility to the team.
We are a product lead company and this role will have oversight of
all development, which will set the pace for Thunkable’s success.
Assess technical risk: Your experience will be a major factor in
empowering your team to isolate and reduce technical risk. You will
fill blind spots for your engineers, helping form the critical
bridge between business, product, and engineering. Establish best
practices : Engineering managers are the last line of defense for
quality control, best practices, and effective design strategies.

mentorship, advice, and feedback to operate effectively.
Contributing to this space along with your leadership team, is part
of effective management. About You We’re looking for someone ready
for a fast and fun challenge. You need to have a unique mix of
technical expertise, people skills, and long-term vision. You’re a
strong and proven manager with 2 years of experience managing
highly technical teams and running complex projects. - You care
deeply about software and the impact that software brings. You can
use your past experience building software to show your team the
way in which they can improve or solve a problem. - You are willing
and capable of getting in the trenches alongside your fellow
engineers and reports. You lead by example and take pride in your
work. - You are exceptionally technical. You can describe complex
ideas simply. You are just as capable of working toward a long-term
road map as you are jumping into a fire to solve a customer’s
problem. - You are as hungry to learn about our customers and
clients. - You are energized by lifting up the careers of those
that report to you. You’ve been able to help mentor more junior
engineers, and support more senior engineers in reaching their
potential. You’ve directly managed teams for at least 2 years. -
You’ve expanded the worldview of your teams, celebrated diversity
of thought and background, and tied it all back through successful
product launches in your past. - You recognize the power of
leadership and have examples of where leading a team has played
central roles in your career. Bonus - Familiarity in the no-code
PaaS space, mobile app development, and start-up fields - You have
built an app on Thunkable - You can overlap with GMT 1 and PST
timezones throughout your workday. We may use artificial
intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process,
such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing
responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not
