Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Watch
Officer who is responsible for executing procedures and processes
that ensure the physical protection of personnel, facilities, and
government property. This role supports safety and security
operations by monitoring activity, compiling incident data, and
enforcing compliance with company and regulatory requirements. At
higher levels, the Watch Officer also serves as a subject matter
expert and advisor to internal stakeholders on physical and
personal security issues. General shifts will be as followed: 6AM -
2PM, 2PM - 10PM, 10PM - 6PM This is subject to change depending on
what is needed by the program moving forward. Primary
Responsibilities : Execute daily security protocols to protect
personnel, assets, and facilities. Monitor and respond to security
incidents and alarms in accordance with established procedures.
Compile and maintain records and reports related to loss control,
security breaches, and accidents. Assist in internal
investigations, ensuring compliance with legal standards and
company policies. Provide input on improvements to security
procedures and incident response practices. Coordinate with
internal departments and external agencies as necessary during
security incidents. At higher levels: Deliver training and guidance
to employees on personal and physical security protocols. Advise
management on emerging trends, risks, and best practices in
security. Interpret and enforce compliance with applicable
regulations and company security policies. Monitoring and
Surveillance: Watch Officers continuously monitor various systems,
channels, or locations for potential threats, incidents, or
operational developments. This might involve reviewing CCTV
footage, monitoring radio communications, or analyzing network
traffic. Incident Response and Coordination: Watch Officers
coordinate responses to incidents, communicating with relevant
teams or personnel to address and resolve issues. They may be
responsible for escalating incidents or activating emergency
protocols. Communication and Liaison: Watch Officers act as a point
of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating
communication and collaboration during incidents or operational
activities. Basic Qualifications An active Top Secret/SCI with
Polygraph clearance A high school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated professional experience in emergency management, risk
assessment, security operations, or a related field. Foundational
knowledge of emergency response, crisis management, and incident
reporting protocols. Ability to monitor, analyze, and report on
global threats, including natural disasters, political unrest,
terrorism, and workplace violence. Familiarity with tools and
systems used for tracking threats, vulnerabilities, and risk
indicators. Strong written and verbal communication skills,
including experience creating situation reports or awareness
briefs. Basic understanding of corporate recovery, contingency
planning, and workplace security best practices. Ability to work
independently under supervision and follow established procedures
for incident documentation and escalation. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Security Studies,
Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field; or
equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 1–2
years of experience supporting enterprise-level security, emergency
preparedness, or threat intelligence programs. Experience
conducting or supporting workplace investigations, including
insider threats, counterintelligence, or executive protection
activities. Working knowledge of incident and crisis response tools
or platforms (e.g., Everbridge, NC4, OnSolve, etc.). Familiarity
with federal, state, or industry regulations relevant to workplace
security and emergency response (e.g., FEMA, DHS, OSHA).
Demonstrated experience writing and presenting threat awareness
communications or briefings to employees and/or leadership.
Exposure to global security monitoring and international threat
assessment. Certifications such as: FEMA ICS/NIMS training
Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) ASIS certifications (e.g., APP,
PSP) Security or similar credentials First aid and CPR certified.
