Description Chubb’s California House Counsel firm, Armijo
Armijo, Morovati & Shields, San Francisco office is seeking an
experienced and skilled California litigator for the position of
Litigation Attorney. This insurance defense role will defend the
firm's general liability cases primarily throughout the Northern
California State and Federal venues. Job Requirements: Enthusiasm
and aptitude for trying cases to a jury, with demonstrated
successful trial experience preferred Deep knowledge of California
State and Federal Court procedural law, pleading, discovery, motion
practice and pretrial techniques and strategies Advanced oral and
written advocacy skills, with a demonstrated track record of
summary judgment and/or appellate success. Cutting edge knowledge
of the substantive law applicable to California tort defense
litigation, with analytical skills needed to address complex legal
issues. Proficiency in effectively and strategically communicating
with clients, Claim Department customers and law firm colleagues
regarding litigated matters. Demonstrated, deeply-ingrained
enthusiasm and skills necessary to provide excellent customer
service to clients, claim examiners, internal customers within firm
The technological savvy to thrive as a litigator in a digital
environment Strong team player willing to work effectively with
others, at all levels and to step outside a defined role where
required to advance the firm's business Ability to work
independently, efficiently and carefully in a high volume
environment Excellent time management, organization and attention
to detail Qualifications Must be an attorney licensed to practice
before California’s State and Federal Courts 5 to 7 years of
demonstrated success in litigating at trial on a wide range of
California tort matters Possess the professional stature and
business acumen needed to be a productive member of the firm. The
pay range for the role is $142,000 to $242,000. The specific offer
will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role
may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual

geographic differential for the location in which the position is
