HVAC MECHANICAL ENGINEER (EIT or PE Certification) Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing Systems MEP Consulting Firm Fairfield, California Title: HVAC Mechanical Engineer (EIT or PE Certification) Location: Fairfield, CA 94534 JOB DESCRIPTION: Strongly established Solano consulting engineering firm with 20 years of experience specializing in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems actively seeks skilled and experienced HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our Fairfield, CA office. We are in need of a HVAC Mechanical Engineer who can take a project from concept through construction. This includes HVAC design and layout, system selection, load calculations, code research, drafting oversight, coordination with architects and other engineers, and client communication. HVAC Mechanical Engineer qualifications, skills, and experience needed: - Strong candidates will enjoy challenges and be committed to results with a strong sense of personal responsibility for company performance. Professionalism, detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable is important. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university (Preferred, degree can be substituted by industry related work experience) - Certified EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer, P.E. (preferred, not required) - Minimum of at least 5 years of professional US based work experience within a mechanical engineering consulting firm, A&E firm or design build contractor - Must have mechanical engineering experience pertaining to building and facilities HVAC systems or plumbing system projects. - Must have proficient knowledge of California mechanical, plumbing, and fire codes including Title 24 Energy Standards - Proficient knowledge of energy modeling software - Fire sprinkler design is also a plus - Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit and/or AutoCAD MEP is a plus) - Must have good written and verbal communication skills - Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States as we are not prepared to offer sponsorship.
