What's in it for you? * Full-Time, Hourly overtime eligible position and you get paid weekly! * Eligibility for our bonus incentive plan including cash bonus and restricted stock units * Benefit options include, but are not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident Insurance, and Group Auto and Home * Retirement Benefits Include: 401k, Roth 401k, Stock Purchase Program, and Stock Options * Company Paid Life Insurance and AD&D is covered at 100% * Education assistance available for continuing education * Exclusive Employee Perks Including a Diamond Elite Membership to all Six Flags Parks Key Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintain, erect, repair, and troubleshoot rides and attractions following Manufacturer and Engineering specifications to ensure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision. * Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repair of rides and attractions computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment in the park and notify management and or Engineering of any hazards, defects, and ride or guest related problems that may endanger the guest, staff and the general public. * Diagnose electrical problems and initiate required repair work. * Install electrical conduit and wiring; clean electrical equipment and components; maintain controls on rides; and maintain ride lighting. * Conduct preventative maintenance on rides, computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment. * Keep all repair records and documentation updated daily, accessible, and organized. * Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedures of Six Flags, Inc. and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. * Communicate with the various Maintenance departments to maintain a productive and satisfying work environment. * Conduct winterization and winter maintenance of computerized ride control systems and electrical equipment in the park. * Assist in installation, remodeling, retrofits, and rehabilitation of rides and buildings as needed. * Respond to work orders and ride downtime calls in a timely manner. * Perform all other duties as assigned. Reporting Structure * Reports directly to Ride Controls Lead. Skills & Qualifications * Industrial electrical experience preferred with Medium voltage experience a plus. * Must have thorough understanding of Allen Bradley PLC's, Allen Bradley and ABB AC/DC motor drives, and other electrical equipment theory and operation. * Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders repeatedly, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and work overhead using both hands. Assist in ride evacuations, lift fifty pounds without injury and work in the elements. * Must possess the ability to work at heights above 200 feet or more above grade. * Operational knowledge of electrical test equipment such as mega/micro ohm meter, volt meter, current meter, and other various pieces of test equipment. * Ability to understand ride monitoring equipment, relays, switches, limiters, transformers, etc. and maintenance as required. * Will be required to work various shifts as project and Park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays. * Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, ability to motivate others, and have a positive attitude. * Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
