Job Description:The Job/What You'll Do:Facilitate and support
the sales of AssetMark products in concert with the external
regional consultants by building and supporting effective
relationships with Investment Advisors.Moreover, the internal sales
consultant will proactively utilize sales training to prospect and
identify advisor's needs and opportunities to increase production
as well as order and fulfill sales materials requests and
illustrate product performance (sales software). The internal sales
consultant will consult at point of sale on product details, fund
performance, fund holdings and investment allocation, assist agent
in basic servicing questions, grow a territory, and back-fill for
team members as needed.We can consider candidates for this position
who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to
any of our office locations in Chicago, IL, Encino, CA, or Phoenix,
AZ.Responsibilities:
- Support the consultative process for the Wealth Management
platform and service offerings by partnering with a Regional
Consultant(s) (external wholesaler). Partnerships are determined by
the amount of AUM and the number of advisors of the Regional
Consultant.
- Promote growth in sales production with existing advisor base
by identifying additional advisor needs and opportunities by being
able to:
- Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by asking
advisors probing questions during each interaction
- Influence, persuade and educate advisors on key benefits of our
platform offerings versus the competition
- Partner with the Regional Consultant to develop a sales
strategy and then execute that strategy by being able to:
- Demonstrate expertise and knowledge to consult with advisors on
product details, performance, holdings, positioning and investment
allocations both conceptually and during point of sale
interactions
- Apply consultative selling techniques to increase share of an
existing advisor's book of business
- Prospect and recruit new, qualified advisors who are interested
in working with AssetMark by being able to:
- Prospect new advisors through cold calling
- Educate, advise, and consult advisors (or prospective advisors)
on our Wealth Management platform investment, practice management
and client relationship offerings
- Utilize ongoing Discovery/Qualification process while
prospecting for new advisors
- Craft professional and compliant email communications to
prospective advisors
- Use active-listening skills and stay flexible to potential
client needs and questions
- Make outbound calls to prospective advisors to garner interest
in upcoming meetings
- Help advisors understand and be able to explain platform fees
and costs, as well as overcome objections they may raise
- Keep current on all investment information as it relates to the
following: The investment platform, marketing materials, operations
and industry news and current market events
- Build relationships with advisors and make strong presentations
via phone and written communication
- Assist existing advisors by discussing an investment strategy,
creating Client Investment Proposal and answering questions related
to eWealthManager.com website and functionalityKnowledge, Skills,
and Abilities:
- Active listening skills
- Ability to use Salesforce.com
- Ability to communicate and sell effectively on the phone
- Good written and verbal communication
- Time management and organizational skills
- A self-starter who takes initiative and can work
independently
- Problem solving skillsEducation & Experience:
- Experience consulting and advising on managed money
platforms
- Prior Salesforce.com experience
- B.A. or B.S. (4 year degree)
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint)
- FINRA licenses: 6, 63 and 65 and/or 7 and 66 (or ability to
obtain these licenses within the first 60 days of
employment)Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is
between $50,000-$55,000. This information reflects a base salary
range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position
based on a number of factors which may include job-related
knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.
This position will also be eligible for additional variable
incentive compensation and competitive benefits.Candidates must be
legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are
