Job Description:
Vivalon, known for fostering the independence and well-being of
older adults in Marin County, is seeking a visionary and strategic
leader to join our team as the Chief Development Officer (CDO). In
this role, the CDO will spearhead our fundraising strategies and
efforts to ensure we continue to deliver and expand our essential
services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission
and a proven track record in securing significant funding, building
relationships with key donors, and leading a development team to
new heights. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising
strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and mission.
Cultivate and manage relationships with new and existing donors,
stakeholders, and board members. Lead and expand the donor base,
securing funding from individuals, foundations, corporations, and
government sources. Oversee the organization's fundraising
campaigns and events, enhancing their impact and reach. Collaborate
with other departments to integrate fundraising strategies and
optimize the organization's overall success. Prepare accurate and
timely analytical reports to assist the board and management in
decision-making processes. Mentor and lead the development team,
fostering an environment of growth and learning. Strong leadership
and strategic planning abilities. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Proven ability to negotiate and influence
others. Robust understanding of donor tracking systems and
fundraising software. Capacity to work and thrive in a dynamic,
complex environment. In-depth knowledge of fundraising tactics and
principles. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)
preferred. Additional certifications in Project Management or
Leadership beneficial.
